These recipe files are very old, and some are even handwritten. All are well used! They contain recipes from one of the best cooks I've ever known: Micheline Ghibaudo, my close friend and former French professor at B.G.S.U. Micheline was from Nice, France, and taught me most of what I know about French cooking.
Recipe File 1: French bread, Soupe au Pistou, Coquilles Saint Jacques (world's best scallop recipe!) , and Polenta with meat sauce. The latter recipe is very "Italian" because Nice is right on the border of Italy.
Recipe File 2: Desserts! Country cake with fruits (VERY easy to make), Flan, Frangipane Tarte, a fabulous Tarte au Citron, and "Petites Douceurs Fourrées aux noix" - a fancy word for some delightful ice cream cookies.
